Monkey Man: Dev Patel’s directorial debut, produced by Jordan Peele, was nothing short of badass. This gripping action film packed style, intensity, and heart. If you haven’t seen it yet, add it to your list.

The Bikeriders: While not strictly an action movie, The Bikeriders delivered compelling drama and gritty action sequences. Austin Butler and Tom Hardy’s performances made me want to start a biker gang—or at least consider it. Keep an eye on Butler; he’s been in several standout projects this year.
